[Oikawa lasts about a week before he starts getting restless, his hands constantly toying with his phone, itching to type out a message or send a picture to Asahi. It's quite an unfortunate thing that they had to stop whatever it was they were doing, but Oikawa knows that there really wasn't any other choice. Love confessions and marriage fantasies are too outside of his realm. As the week goes by, though, that choice feels more and more like something he regrets making.

But when it comes to people he clings to, Oikawa is weak, and he formed a quick bond with Asahi- more than he thought he would have- and he misses him. Maybe he was too hasty about the whole not seeing each other thing. Half of what Asahi said was when he was drunk, anyway. Oikawa is sure he said plenty of outlandish things when he himself was drunk.

So yes, he misses talking to Asahi and he's feeling a bit selfish about it, which is why he finally texts him during lunch, ignoring whatever conversation his teammates are having.]
